DECLARATION / STATEMENT OF DEMANDS & NEEDS / TERMS OF PURCHASE:

By signing below the customer/purchaser confirms that they have not received any personal recommendations from a representative of Autotrade (Birmingham) Ltd. As an organization Autotrade (Birmingham) Ltd offer a non-advised service, with the aim of providing the appropriate information in 'good time' so an informed decision can be made. During the process & where applicable, we have offered the relevant finance packages available from an introduced panel of lenders, as well as the option of purchasing an 'introduced' 3rd party national warranty. The option/time has also been available for customers to research/consider other warranty and finance options available if required.

Unless stated / otherwise agreed, Autotrade (Birmingham) Ltd provide consumers with 30 days / 1,000-miles self-insured back to base warranty free of charge. This warranty is provided by Autotrade (Birmingham) Ltd of which can NOT be used/claimed at any other garage or in conjunction with another third-party warranty purchased. Any unauthorised work carried out by a third-party garage without prior written authorisation from a representative of Autotrade (Birmingham) Ltd will void this warranty in its entirety.

Autotrade (Birmingham) Ltd do not offer a courtesy car, recovery transport or breakdown cover/roadside assistance as part of our service. It's therefore the customer's responsibility to have recovery and alternative methods of transport in place if necessary, during a fault being discovered / warranty claim period. Autotrade (Birmingham) Ltd cannot be held responsible for any subsequential losses that may occur as a result of a vehicle not being in use / alternative transport arrangements being required. In choosing an 'introduced' 3rd party national warranty, you the customer are responsible for any investigation/diagnostics charge at the 'introduced' / chosen repairing garage prior to a warranty claim being agreed. Roadside assistance/breakdown cover, recovery transport and courtesy cars are NOT included with an 'introduced' third party national warranty. Any work/s carried out at a 3rd party garage in/not conjunction with a 3rd party warranty, is NOT deemed as authorised by Autotrade (Birmingham) Ltd.

The term 'warranty' in no way replaces statuary consumer rights. If choosing to exercise consumer rights at any point, the terms of this agreement are that the vehicle is to be returned to Autotrade (Birmingham) Ltd at the cost of the customer/purchaser. Prior to being approved. If rejecting a vehicle after 30 days, under the statuary consumer rights act 2015, a charge of £0.45p a mile will be deducted for any mileage carried out between the invoiced and returned mileage, along with additional charges/deductions to cover the repair of additional damages or to undo/rectify modifications/alterations carried out after purchase where applicable. In some cases, we may request a third part independent court backed national inspection prior to rejection/repair/replacement being offered/accepted. Any rejection must be done so in writing and within the required period as stated within the Consumer Rights Act 2015. At the point of requesting a rejection/repair/replacement, the customer/purchaser must cease use of the vehicle and record the exact mileage at the point of doing so, prior to return. When exercising a 'repair' under the consumer rights act, the vehicle is to be recovered/transported at the cost of the customer/purchaser to our authorised repairing garage. We will not accept the vehicle to be driven unless stated fit to do so as part of a report from your chosen roadside assistance/recovery agent. We will not be responsible for any repairs/subsequential damage caused by a vehicle being driven with a known fault. It is the customer/purchaser's responsibility to confirm a vehicle is deemed road worthy/safe prior to driving. A customer/purchaser is responsible for any subsequential damage caused by choosing to drive a vehicle with a known fault, without being confirmed fit to do so by an authorised representative. Prior to any return of deposit, balance or finance unwind we require receipt of the issued v5c document. If this has not yet arrived at the point of actioning a return for rejection, a £250 retainer will be held back/taken until this has been received.
